Weller inks with Campbell University

YUMA, Ariz. - Arizona Western College Matadors' baseball player Max Weller has signed to continue his academic and baseball career at Campbell University next year. 

Weller played in 106 games in two seasons at Arizona Western College, posting a .338 career batting average, driving in 79 career runs, and helping the Matadors to 77 wins over the course of two seasons. 

The Westfield, Ind. native recorded 22 career doubles and smacked 10 home runs, seven of which came this past spring while also recording a career-best four triples.

As a sophomore, Weller finished as the Matadors' second-leading hitter, batting .371 in a team-high 59 games.

Campbell University is an NCAA DI institution located in Buies Creek, N.C. The Fighting Camels compete in the Big South Conference. Weller will join former Matador Jarrod Belbin at Campbell.
