Arizona Western baseball player Gerardo "Gerry" Castro is this week's Chapman Yuma "Player of the Week. The sophomore from Ciudad Obregon, Mexico, hit for the cycle and drove in five runs in Arizona Western's 10-6 win over College of Southern Nevada on Saturday, March 21st. For the season, Castro leads the Matadors in batting average (.479), slugging percentage (.819), RBI (46), hits (45), is tied for the team lead in homeruns (6) and doubles (10). The Matadors are 24-6 on the season and 7-5 in ACCAC. The Matadors are back in action this Tuesday when they host Phoenix College at Walt Kammann Field. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
