YUMA, Ariz. - Arizona Western softball player Analy Trejo is named this week's Chapman Yuma "player of the Week." The sophomore was instrumental in helping the Lady Matadors earn a four-game sweep on the road at Yavapai to end the regular season schedule. Trejo finished the series 6-8 (.750 BA) at the plate with three homeruns, a double, 9 RBI, 10 runs scored and she was walked 8 times. Trejo finished the regular season as the team leader in Hits (71) HR (15) RBI (63) Runs (60) Walks (25) Doubles (20). She finished with a battling average of .483 and struck out only nine times in 147 at bats spanning 49 games. The Lady Matadors finished the regular season 35-18 and 19-13 on the ACCAC. Arizona Western is the #3 seed in the upcoming Region I playoffs and will face #2 seeded Eastern Arizona on Friday.
