Jailbreak Tourney Success

YUMA, Ariz - Arizona Western College volleyball partnered with USA Volleyball to host the first Yuma Jailbreak Tournament this past weekend. The tournament was part of a grassroots effort to build volleyball throughout the country, and everything went off without a hitch. Twenty-six teams from Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma and Mexico competed in the tournament staged in three locations. The 16U teams played at Gila Ridge High School, the 14U teams played at Arizona Western and the 12U teams played at Castle Dome Middle School.

"We were happy to partner with USA Volleyball in their efforts to bring a grassroots tournament to Yuma," said AWC head coach Lorayne Chandler. "With the success of this year's invitational, we are excited to see what next year will bring!"
