    YUMA, Ariz. – Patience proved to be a virtue for the Arizona Western College baseball team on Tuesday afternoon. The Mats drew 10 walks and won 5-4 after a walkoff walk with the bases loaded in 16 innings against 16th ranked Central Arizona College.

    Remembering Coach Nowlin

    YUMA, Ariz. - On Tuesday afternoon, the Arizona Western College and Central Arizona College baseball teams had a special ceremony for one of their own before commencing in a conference battle. The two teams remembered beloved coach Larry Nowlin before the game.

    Saturday Split

    YUMA, Ariz. – On Saturday afternoon, the Arizona Western College baseball team split a doubleheader with Yavapai College. Irving Martin led the way on the mound in game one for AWC and pitched his team to a 5-1 win. In game two, Yavapai took an early lead before winning 8-3.

    One Run Split

    YUMA, Ariz. – Late runs and one run games are fickle things, and the Arizona Western College baseball team spent time on both sides of the coin on Saturday afternoon. The Mats split with Cochise College with a game one rally for a 3-2 win before falling 5-4 in 11 innings in game two.

    YUMA, Ariz. – The Arizona Western College baseball team wrapped up the weekend with a pair of impressive wins on Saturday afternoon. The Mats beat Colorado Northwestern Community College 7-1 and 8-0 to finish a four-game sweep.
